Aussie Stephy Hirst has two Collies and a giant Maine Coon named Omar whom she adopted four years ago. The Maine Coon is a large cat breed and Omar is not an exception. The cat had already weighed 22lbs by his first birthday.
Now Omar weighs 31lbs and is 3’11 feet long. Stephy has already contacted the Guinness World Records. According to the woman, her pet is still growing, so the data may change in the future. However, even being a 3’11 feet long cat Omar can take the lead. At present the title of the world’s longest cat belongs to a 3’10 feet long Maine Coon named Ludo from Wakefield, UK.

Omar even has his own Instagram account, that got more than 16 thousand followers in the first few days of its existence.
According to the cat’s owner, Omar leads a quiet peaceful life. Every day he wakes up around 5 a.m., has breakfast, and then goes for a nap in the yard. He is given kangaroo meat for lunch.
The giant does not jump over fences or climb trees. His main activity is opening all kinds of doors.
When he finds a small place such as a kitchen cabinet shelf, Omar goes there to have a rest. He likes sleeping with his owners, but he takes up too much space on the bed, so most often he is sent to the couch.
