‘Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!’ That’s what rescuers from San Diego were saying when three of the cutest bottle-baby kittens arrived. But first, they were saying “Fleas!” …as the tiny felines were covered in them. They needed a gentle, warm bath and then medication for parasites. That’s generally the first care for rescued kittens.
But they were hanging on – to each other and their oversized tiger stuffed heartbeat toy. Thankfully, their “superstar foster,” Christine, was over the moon to take in the neonates, who needed round-the-clock bottle-feeding in the wee hours of the night.
After sharing the most adorable kitten picture below, supporters of Kitten Rescue Life came up with their Wizard of Oz-themed names.
From left to right at the bottom, the kittens are Lion, the golden boy, Tiger the striped tabby, and Bear the white kitten with a black bear nose. It’s one of the cutest kitten pictures ever.
Here is the tiniest lion ever, melting hearts for everyone who saw him.
These kittens were picture-perfect and the definition of “sitting pretty” in a warm incubator.
“You’ll find this photo of Bear next to the definition of ‘sitting pretty’ ” they shared.
An impossibly cute Tiger and Bear were growing fast, and followers supported their insatiable thirst for kitten formula late at night.
It’s astonishing how fast kittens grow, as you can see Lion, Tiger, and Bear just over a week later. But that week can seem a bit longer for a fosterer who gets up ever two hours to feed them with a bottle! But watching them grow makes it all worth it.
By the end of the month, they were still chowing down and found their second foster home. But now, they were wrestling buddies who napped in between matches.
The Kittens Head Off Down the Yellow Brick Road
At the beginning of August, Lion and Bear both had the prettiest sparkling eyes and were ready to tackle the world together. Lion’s eyes were changing an emerald green.
Meanwhile, Bear’s eyes were a little more blue and he looked ready to confidently head off down the Yellow Brick Road.
Lucky Tiger found another home with new furry friends. It all went by so fast, but everyone loved watching them grow up. And, fortunately, the ridiculously cute baby pictures are furever.
