In an interview with Vanity Fair, Aniston’s close friend Courteney Cox stated, “I don’t think he started an affair physically, but I think he was attracted to her.”
“There was a connection, and he was honest about that with Jen. Most of the time, when people are attracted to other people, they don’t tell.”
“At least he was honest about it. It was an attraction that he fought for a period of time.”
While Pitt and Jolie were together for many years, their relationship faced significant challenges.
The FBI got involved after an alleged altercation between Pitt and Jolie on September 14, 2016, during a flight from France to LAX on a private jet with their children, according to the BBC.
Following this event, a spokesperson for Jolie told People: “Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.”
Pitt’s representatives also spoke to People, stating: “He is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed.”
“He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that. He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was spiralling out of control.”
The divorce between Jolie and Pitt has certainly been fraught with difficulties.
There is now a belief that the children are somewhat distant from their father, and Jolie has attributed some significant health issues to the stress of their relationship.
However, Jolie has recently responded to Pitt in a unique way.
