Stewart has consistently expressed her commitment to dressing as she pleases, which extends to disregarding conventional underwear norms.
Previously, she candidly discussed with Page Six the notion of “dressing for one’s age.”
“Dressing for whose age?” she quips.
“I don’t think about age. I think people are more and more and more [fabulous] than they’ve ever been in their senior years, and I applaud every one of them.”
“I’ve dressed the same since I was 17,” she adds. “If you look at my pictures on my Instagram, I look pretty much the same.”
However, Stewart has now made another surprising disclosure about her personal fashion choices.
In a pioneering interview with Page Six, Stewart disclosed her decision to abstain from wearing underwear.
Stewart conversed with the publication during the Old Bags Luncheon in West Palm Springs, Florida—an annual fundraiser for the Family Services of Palm Beach County.
This particular event marked its 25th anniversary, hence dubbed the Silver Jubilee.
She said: “I don’t wear any of that structured stuff. No tight lace, no Skims for Martha.”
Additionally, she divulged a rather unconventional alternative she opts for.
“Bathing suits are my underwear,” she confirms.
“I like bathing suits. I like wearing bathing suits under my clothes just in case I want to go swimming,” she adds.
“I love Skims. I think they serve a very good purpose — but I don’t wear those. I only wear Eres bathing suits under my clothes,” Stewart continues.
Subsequently, Stewart experiences a brief moment of concern regarding potentially offending Kim Kardashian.
“Is Kim Kardashian going to be mad at me?” she asks.
But Stewart then decides: “No, she won’t be mad at me. She knows I don’t wear Skims.”
It comes as little shock that Stewart leans toward wearing a bathing suit, given her notable appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated last year.
